I thought it was just a cover to wrap around the armrest and struggled to install this thing at first. I had to pull really hard to wrap this up, but once installed it feels good. Just don't expect to pull it on like a sheet because you won't. This case has two types of elastic bands: one that simply wraps around the case and the other (much less forgiving) wraps under the elbow brace, preventing it from being easily removed.
