My son needs sandals for the summer. He is very active and ordinary sandals would not suit him. I found them and they protect his legs well. When he first put them on he had a small problem: the top strap rubbed on the top of the foot around the ankles. He solved this problem by wearing short socks for a few days. Now they don't bother him at all and oppose his rough actions, water splashes and everything else. Easy to clean when dirty.
