I first bought this to create a fun atmosphere at orchestra rehearsals with a smoke generator. Although I haven't had a chance to use it yet, it was very nice for the purposes I was able to use it. I've used it to create a nighttime atmosphere in my room and as an atmosphere generator behind the wall when I'm streaming games to my friends. Brightness, flicker and color fluctuations are sensitive and strong. I had two buddies who were interested in asking me where I got it so they could get it for themselves. An added and unexpected bonus is the white noise generation that accompanies settings from crickets in the night to a raging river, all of which are sitting and I'm mostly asleep in addition to my fan for background noise. All in all a great buy, intuitive and with controls. In addition, the remote control allows much finer adjustment of colors, star intensity and noise behavior. An outstanding product and best in class for the current price.
