Review on Enhance Connectivity with Targus USB 2.0 Micro Bluetooth Adapter (ACB10US1-60) by Trevor Rodke

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not intuitive, but very cheap. If you're not a geek, this isn't for you.

I finally managed to get this to work with Win7 Pro 64-bit. I'm running this from a front panel header on a GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 mobo. The breakthrough came when I went to the Gigabyte website and downloaded their "cloud server" software, originally intended for use with their Bluetooth and WiFi add-on board. After installing the same, I was able to set up and use this device to stream from my phone to my server and vice versa. Keep in mind that a USB cable works much better for things like moving large chunks of music to your phone's storage, retrieving pictures from your phone, etc., but Bluetooth remains very useful for other uses. I was also able to use this without blocking the Logitech Unifying R/T for my Bluetooth-based wireless keyboard and mouse, so it's a pretty nice little gadget if you can get it to work.

Pros
  • USB Network Adapter
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions
