Review on Improved Neewer 16 Channel Wireless Remote FM Flash Speedlite Radio Trigger with 2.5mm PC Receiver for Flash Units Featuring Universal Hot Shoe Compatibility by Nikki Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works with any camera and flash! Great wireless FM flash!

The beauty of this setup is that there are two receivers and one transmitter, allowing one camera to fire two different flashes at the same time. Neewer's 16-channel wireless remote flash works up to 100 meters away. The remote setup will work with any camera that has a hot shoe as there is only one center pin that makes the connection. There are 16 channels and that's good too. Simply place the transmitter in the camera and attach the external camera flashes to the receivers. Make sure they are all on the same channel and take a picture. All flashes should fire when turned on and set to manual. The receiver has a tripod hole for mounting on a tripod. It comes with a cable but it's not really needed and doesn't work with my camera. The receivers use AAA batteries and I always unplug them when not in use. Why am I taking them out? Since other types of receivers I've used in the past have drained their batteries over time and are easy to take out, I take them out when not in use. The transmitter uses an A23 battery and I leave it in the transmitter. The transmitter battery is expected to last a few years without activity. Make sure the receiver and transmitter are on the same channel, otherwise they won't work. For a self-test, press the button on the transmitter and it should activate the receivers with the flash installed and powered on. All types of flash units can be used on receivers as long as they are set to manual mode. Please note that this is a manual setting and external flash units must be set to manual mode and flash power and zoom must be set manually before being used. .
