I bought this item to help remove tint from car windows. Especially the rear window where the tint suffered from UV degradation and was left in very small pieces by conventional means. The damper released the adhesive more efficiently, allowing larger strips to be separated from the glass. The steamer's heat was not unbearable. The accessory has been designed to be very convenient to attach or remove, useful for working in hard-to-reach places or when a person wants to put it on the floor, it's a bit heavy. 10 minutes of vapor per refill as advertised, good long cord, useful accessory.
