Review on Vented Low-Cut Hiking Shoe For Women: KEEN Nxis Speed by Chris Pettway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very lightweight but supportive walking shoes, slightly wide fit

These shoes are surprisingly lightweight (about 1.5 pounds for the pair). The soles are pretty flexible and feel more like I'm walking in sneakers than hiking boots. On steep rocky trails, I prefer more stable hiking boots, but these shoes are great for walking around town. The hybrid lug pattern works well on both pavement and dirt and should be more durable than the flimsy knob lugs that Keen uses on some of its hiking shoes. Fit is perfect for the size. My only complaint is the soles are very squeaky when I'm walking on smooth floors. At least they are not slippery.

Pros
  • The vibrant colors and patterns make the KEEN Nxis Speed a fun and unique addition to your hiking gear
Cons
  • The color options are limited
