Looked good but the shoulder strap broke after 3 months

Well I bought this bag in March for nursing school in May. It's now August which means I've been using this bag for a little over 3 months. I liked that it had a separate compartment for my laptop and was a decent size to take my books with me. I thought the bag would be more durable knowing Samsonite is a well known brand. This didn't happen as after a little over three weeks the shoulder strap snapped exposing the white padding. I don't even know if there is a guarantee, I lost my information card. This bag didn't last as long as I hoped.
