If you're not a pro, you can set it up without a guide, run it. I'm really not one to work hard on a product because I know it's someone else's work. I wouldn't wish that on anyone who isn't ready for it. It took me 3 days to build (more than 3 hours each day), not that it should have been, but half the time was spent figuring out the instructions. Bad pictures. I almost threw it away. The way I was able to do this was to follow my feelings without direction and it seemed like I was right until I got to the end. When the boxes didn't fit, I realized I had done something wrong. So I removed some of that and dealt with more confidence. In other words, I had to mess things up to get it right, which left a lot of closet scars. At the end of the day or days I really wanted to throw it away and save time for other things. First, my product was dusty with loose Styrofoam and wood shavings as if it had been stored for centuries, and I was sneezing through and through as I swept and cleaned after each round. Just know that it's smaller than it looks. It's heavy, seriously, for its size. I think it's more of a decorative item than actual storage. Like I said, if you're a pro I bet you can do it quickly, but for most of us it's going to be a nightmare.
