About three months ago I bought two of these cables to replace the original Apple cable that came with my wife's Mac Air. The first cable broke about three months before the wires came loose from the connector, and the second (spare cable?) broke just three days before breaking at the same stress point. It uses the laptop several hours a day and leaves the cable plugged in, so cable movement and stress is inevitable, but with an expected lifespan of three months to three days, I wouldn't recommend it. I have ordered several different right angle cables and they claim to resist being unplugged much better.
