Review on Starry Black Wireless Xbox 360 Controller: Improved 2.4GHZ Gamepad Joystick for Xbox & Slim 360 PC Windows 7, 8, 10 by Jasmit Singh ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

Do not look that I have indicated more cons than pros. The gamepad is simply gorgeous, and now it can have 1-2 models from Logitech in the market. If you want to enjoy games, and not go through the layouts in games and download joystick emulators, take it without hesitation. Now very often excellent multiplatform games are released, the controls in which are sharpened primarily for this gamepad. Assassin Creeds, Mass Effects, Batmans and their ilk. I'm not even talking about sports simulators like NBA 2K11. I couldn't find the wired version in stores (discontinued). There are online stores, but it's up to you to decide. All the main problems of the wireless model lie in its receiver, more precisely in its price and availability. I was lucky, I took it directly in the store. But it is unreasonably expensive and it would be possible to make sure that Windows recognizes this device without installing drivers. So far, not everything is so rosy. Overall score 5-. Cons for the receiver.

Pros
  • 1. Xbox, Windows 7, Games for windows - all together and at once. Zero hemorrhoids with game compatibility. Let's start and play. 2. Triggers and triggers. It's just unrealistically convenient, especially after the logitech rumblepad 2. 3. Surprisingly long battery life. Do not be stingy, buy batteries for 2500-2700 mAh, 5-7 days will work without any problems. 4. The sticks do not slip and "leave" from under the fingers even after a long game 5. Weight (with batteries) is perfect. 10 grams plus or minus would not be the same. Hands can get tired if only after 30 hours of continuous play.
Cons
  • 1. There was no receiver in the kit, I had to buy it separately. 1750. joystick + 1300 rub. receiver = 3000+ for all the fun. Expensive. I advise only if you fundamentally do not want to take a prefix (like me). 2. The receiver operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz - the standard frequency for all bluetooth / Wi-Fi devices. The red price for him is 300-400. 3. There are no drivers for the receiver on the Internet. At least I didn't find it (specially looked for it). Immediately make a copy or image of the installation disk. Autorun gives an error in Vista/Windows 7. I had to do everything through the device manager, it worked, but the unpleasant feeling remained. 4. Hard-to-reach cross. In NBA 2K11, it is difficult to quickly manage a team. 5. VERY unusual and you have to get used to it after other gamepads. Before that, I had a logitech rumblepad 2, it's like I got into another world. Notice I didn't say uncomfortable. It's just unusual. 6. I would very much like some kind of worthwhile software for the device. Well, with ates and so on. Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories Status - a stupid connection indicator, nothing more. 7. There were 10 pieces of instructions in the box, probably in all languages of the world, including Czech and Bulgarian. Needless to say, there was no 2022 in sight.
