Switched to adidas because in 2 weeks I rolled both ankles in Nike Max Air. Went with low caps + wore Shock Doctor 849 with ankle lacing. Played basketball and then lifted for about 2 hours total and they were very comfortable because they were brand new. The ankle/heel has excellent cushioning. With an ankle brace underneath, both of my ankles felt great and were secure throughout the shoot. Mine were all white and didn't noticeably fray after wearing them once. Appearance: I like them even more than the photos I saw on Amazon. The outsole has a little more flex which allowed me to feel lateral stability. All White was very clean and stayed clean on the pitch. The only thing I could change is to add black laces that are a bit longer than the ones that came with the kit. Cons: They were difficult to tighten at first and I worry about how long the laces and loops they go through will last. About every 5 minutes I managed to tie them a little tighter until by the 3rd or 4th time I finally felt like they were really secure. They probably just need to be broken and are harder to tighten with an ankle bandage underneath. Overall, for the low price, this is the best basketball purchase I've ever made.
