I've wanted something like this for a long time and didn't know it existed. I have fluorescent lighting from a false ceiling in my basement. Fluorescent lighting has a dramatic effect on the eyes. I bought 5 sconces for my basement about 15 years ago to give this room a more peaceful atmosphere, but I had to turn on each sconce individually after entering the basement. I have grandchildren who are not always willing to go downstairs. Incandescent bulbs are more attractive. I can now turn on each individual light using the remote control at the top of the stairs without having to rely on my grandchildren to turn off the lights when they're done playing. This product comes with 2 remote controls and 5 sockets. I have a remote in the basement for overnight stays and another at the top of the stairs. Cheaper than calling an electrician to run the wiring inside the walls. Enough for now. I love this product.
