These sheets are a good weight, thin weave, very smooth sheets. They fit my 12-13 inch deep mattress and probably fit an inch or more deeper than mine. There's a very wide elastic all the way around and not just in the corners so there's no chance of the pages being pulled out. I really hate sheets that are so flexible they stick to my skin when I'm hot, I love some of the "satin" sheets but these percale sheets from Trident are strong enough not to stick to me. We've had a couple of hot days in LA this year and these sheets were cool and comfortable. When I opened the packaging I was greeted by a slightly funny smell, the sheets went straight into the washing machine anyway and are now odorless. All in all good value for money and I would buy them again.
