Affordable, Versatile, Heavy Duty TV Stand

Great concept and execution - semi-universal flat panel TV wall mount screw holes provide a solid, cost effective and extremely stable desk mount. It was easy to assemble and install, and I was able to do it on my own even though I was old and not very strong. Even though I'm tall, I have influence on my side. It comes with a full set of mounting hardware so it will work with a wide variety of TVs. We had a 46 inch Samsung TV from 2009. My only complaint is that I could mount the TV higher or lower on the stand, but not lower. because the bottom edge of the front panel of the TV rests on the top of the stand. "Legs." If the legs were just half an inch lower, I could lower the TV. Maybe I can make a cut on the "legs" where the TV meets them, it will fit, but I don't want to loosen the legs. It's probably okay though, and I could still do it. Note that the stand's legs protrude 6 5/8 inches in front of the TV, while the stand our TV originally came with protrudes just over 4 3/4 inches in front of our unit. Both the wide stance of this stand and the length of its legs make it more stable than a pedestal stand, but it also means you have to rest your TV on the after which you move it about 2 inches further. It's really a problem but one should know it. not necessarily a problem. Just something to be aware of. Not sure I'll snap open the plastic covers that allow cables to be routed down the legs of the stand if you want. Doesn't apply to my setup, but it's an option.
