This is a great tool for quilters!

I LOVE this rug! This is the ideal size and thickness for stamping quilts. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have the space or inclination to pull out a full size ironing board. I was concerned that the ironing pad would have a bad smell as some other reviewers have reported. But I only noticed a slight odor when my iron was very hot, and even then it didn't last long or transfer to the material I was ironing.

Pros

Cut press time in half and create flatter, more professional looking blocks. The specially felted wool captures the heat from your iron and reflects it back through the fabric. This results in simultaneous compression of both sides of the tissue.
