This base is very strong and strong. Just pay special attention to the back of the monitor to make sure it's working. I used this 27" Samsung Curved Monitor (C27F396) and it was by no means perfect! Where there is a standard base on this particular monitor, there is a piece on the back that rests directly on the stand. Obviously, that's not the fault of the base, but I want you to be warned! I had to use standoffs to create enough clearance from the back of the monitor so that the non-detachable part of the base didn't hold the screen up at an awkward angle (note that it can be rotated not tilting, just rotating.) Now why the 3 stars: - the washers supplied, which should fit the smallest screws, are TOO BIG, so if I used them like that the washers wouldn't make any sense as the screw heads are straight would pass through them causing the monitor to fall Luckily I had several smaller ones to use along with the ones that came with the kit. The Velcro broke off right at the back of the bar. This was done with minimal stress on the Velcro. The part of the screw/bolt holding it came straight out and clattered to the floor. If the hardware had a better fit and the strap hadn't come loose I probably would have gotten 4 stars. I say since Samsung is not an unknown brand and I feel like they haven't looked too closely at the design, there is an issue with my monitor. Consideration should have been given to pushing the mount a little further out of the rack to allow for better compatibility.
