I was originally looking for a traditional canvas/metal fastener, traditionally military like a belt, when I saw this online. I liked the look and the buckle was something new. , bend to insert/secure rather than slide to secure, I decided to give it a try. It takes a few times to get used to, but now I find it much safer than the old style. The buckle looks nice and durable and looks like it will last a long time. The band material is immobile (it does not bend) and the stretch is not "weak" but also strong. Provides ample fit without loosening. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase so I bought both brown and black. Goes well with jeans and trousers and can be worn in both casual and dressier situations.
