I recently needed a floppy disk drive. I needed access to a file that was on an old 3.5 inch floppy disk. Somehow I never bothered to put it on CD. This little portable drive saved the day! If you're using XP or Vista, simply plug the drive into an available USB port and you're good to go. Both my laptop and desktop recognized the drive immediately. It's a 2X drive, so it reads and writes fast. The drive comes with a stand so you can mount it either horizontally or vertically on your desk. It also comes with a black and silver clasp on the lid. My only complaint is that the USB cable is hardwired to the drive and is very short (2 feet). I'm discovering tons of old games, fonts and software that I had completely forgotten about. Retro computing! What was once old becomes new again. Sony External USB Floppy Disk Drive (MPF88E/UA/181)
