So far so good with external hard drives

VERY IMPORTANT: When reading reviews, make sure that it says "Verified Purchase", otherwise only the seller will cheat you. I bought this external hard drive because I just bought a new MacBook Pro and needed to transfer my files to my new Mac. I used to have an older model that still had USB drive ports. If you are a Mac user, you know how difficult it is to switch from an old model to a new one with different ports. What I love about the Silicon Power hard drive is that it can work with both a USB stick and a Type-C drive (I don't even know if I'm using the terms correctly). MacBook with a USB file transfer cable, then I just switched to the Type-C cable (which is included) to transfer the files to my new Mac. It was pretty quick for me, but I'm not that picky. File transfer takes only a few seconds. I say "so far so good" because I've only had the disc for a few days. It worked fine for me, but who knows what will happen over time. Fingers crossed that everything still works.

Pros
  • External hard drives
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
