Review on Infrared Resources External Universal Receiver by Cris Drew

I wanted the IR receiver extension to work with the Cox mini box (Cisco DTA 250HD/HD-uDTA-C) and the Cox URC-2220-R remote control. I thought it would be easy, but not everything is so simple in the modern world of technology. The product information was extremely helpful and showed that I needed an IR IN device and not an IR OUT device. Also, I saw information about 38kHz and 56kHz addressing. This device can do both. Installation was very easy - just plug it into the box. I saw a comment about unplugging the power from the box, plugging in an extension cord and plugging the box back in. I didn't see this in the limited information that came with the product, but I did anyway, just in case. . Everything worked as I expected. The product was delivered on time and I definitely recommend it if you have an app that could use such a device.
