worked better than expected!

My original Xboxone received a weak signal when the gamepad looked up, it hung a lot. I connected this via the Xbox 3.5mm jack and the sensor in front of my Xbox, it's 200% better! even receives a signal when the front of the controller is facing down, sideways or up.

Awesome!: Audio & Video Accessories

This product is awesome! I'm a Verizon FiOS customer and all I had to do was plug the cable into my cable box's IR remote control option and voila, it works! I can hide my bulky cable box in my beautiful barn style TV cabinet without opening the door. That's great! And the best part is that it only took 15 seconds to install.

Works on my Explorer 8642hdc

Just wanted to let people know that it works with the model above (spectrum standard in New York). The descriptions here of which cable boxes work and which don't bracket that model number, but I gave it a try anyway and I'm glad I did. My cable box is now hidden behind a cupboard door and I still have full control over it (it plugs into the IR jack on the back of the box - unplug the cable box before doing this for (theoretically) best results). ). It also has a very long range for signal…

Works perfectly! in Remote Controls & Accessories

Works Great! I converted an old desk into a console table and hid my cable box in a desk drawer. I used this IR extender to mount it under my desk so my remote control can transmit the signal. Worked great! The IR expander is small and not even visible under the table and also expands the signal significantly. I can easily change the channel around the corner in another room. I have a Verizon Fios service and this extension plugged directly into the cable box and worked with no issues…

Works with Arris IP815W STB

The receiver works with my Arris IP815W (Frontier) set top box. I wanted to install the device behind the TV and still be able to control the set top box. Connects to the Ext IR In port on the back of the Arris chassis. I also found a HIDEit Uni-S VESA mount, Adj Small on Revain, to mount the Arris box to the back of the TV using 2 of the 4 VESA mounting holes. Check your TV as there are different VESA hole patterns e.g. B. 100mm, 200mm. The 4mm x 0.7mm screws that came with HIDEit were a bit…

Works as it should, no complaints.

This IR extender has been around for a long time. I installed it under the soundbar in a small recess in the molding so I can't see it. The soundbar is mounted under the TV. All are attached to the wall. I am currently using this on an old style Verizon Fios receiver box that I installed in a cabinet to the left of my TV. All my cables run through the walls and are hidden. To date I have not had a single problem with this IR extender. It worked as it should with no issues, the wire was more…

Excellent product

After looking at so many IR extenders I chose this product because of its high rating and support praise. I connected two of these to my Magnavox DCX3501-M cable box with a 9" shielded stereo splitter to a dual stereo splitter for IR transmitters, headsets etc. One in the living room (required as the built in IR is disabled) and the other in the bedroom. I also have a cable split from the box to each room. Now I can always connect a cable box from either room (saves me renting an extra cable…

What I needed for remote control extensions

I wanted the IR receiver extension to work with the Cox mini box (Cisco DTA 250HD/HD-uDTA-C) and the Cox URC-2220-R remote control. I thought it would be easy, but not everything is so simple in the modern world of technology. The product information was extremely helpful and showed that I needed an IR IN device and not an IR OUT device. Also, I saw information about 38kHz and 56kHz addressing. This device can do both. Installation was very easy - just plug it into the box. I saw a comment…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

When connected to my Motorola cable changer, this extender has limited functionality. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I point my remote directly at the cable box, the response is instant and accurate. However, when I point the remote at the external IR extender, the blue light on the extender always indicates activity when I press the button on the remote, but the cable box responds to input from the extender about once in four attempts. Very annoying. To update. I received an…
