Review on 🐴 Justin Dunn Bitless Bridle: Enhanced SEO-friendly Product Name by Brandon Reid

The perfect starting position for a young horse!

I saw Justin Dunn using this at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver and thought I should get one for my horses. Other side pulls I've tried in the past have a really tough, tough, rawhide nose piece that can rub noses a bit. I liked that this headstand could replace softer rope tips (but at $20 for an arch rope, I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon!). I used this headstand as an improvement over using a rope halter while saddleing some of my young Rocky Mountain horses. This headrest fits well and has enough skin to accommodate a variety of head sizes. I really like the leather bindings from the cheek pieces to the area that holds the rope cap in place. I had no problem moving the cheek pieces into the eye area, which can be a problem with some headstands. All in all it was a rip off for me, over $100 for the headstand alone (with the leather curb and rope end included). Thank God I have enough reins at home! I think this would be a great headrest for NATRC and endurance riding as it would allow the horse to graze and drink without having a bit in its mouth, although your horse really needs to be taught to easily handle the pressure of a headstall - a truly flying horse may be unstoppable in a panic situation in such a headstand. Again good construction but a bit pricey.
