I didn't know they existed until I read about "display emulators" and am glad I found them. Now that we're constantly working from home, there are all those empty offices with 2-3 monitors that still work (remotely accessible) due to the hassle of reconfiguring your Windows 10 displays when they're turned off or unplugged are. Also, we were recently informed that the building we are in will be demolished in 2-3 years, so we are planning to move everything. This allows us to physically remove 2-3 monitors from each desktop, saving energy and allowing the desktops to be moved to a central location without additional monitors.
