The picture is very clear! I see my child day and night as clearly as during the day. The audio register is also very sensitive, so I can hear everything with ease. But what impressed me the most was the range. I moved house a few mornings and we have a large barn and garage about 300 feet away and that's where it loses connection. That was BEFORE I realized that this monitor has a retractable antenna! I can even control the camera remotely from this distance! I'm really impressed and shocked that the picture is perfectly sharp the whole time! This is the perfect monitor if you want to walk around the house or property (make sure, of course, someone is actually in the house) and want to keep an eye on your baby. Mine just cries for me when he wakes up so I have to make sure I'm there in a few seconds if that happens. I worry when I'm not there to hear him cry or to check on him. It gave me great peace of mind. The only downside is that the noises in the house sound a bit distorted.
