Review on πŸ”€ Melissa & Doug Alphabet Sound Puzzle: Enhance Vocabulary Skills by Isaac Samal

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Worth the few dollars I paid for it.

I had high hopes for this letter puzzle from Melissa and Doug. As a kindergarten teacher and my nephew's teacher, I love finding smiles and educational games for kids. Below is my rating: Pros: - Excellent graphics under the letters. My nephew (2.5 years old) was very happy with it - The size of the letters is just right for small hands - Interesting enough Cons: - The hole for the puzzle piece is not deep enough to hold it securely. As my nephew's hand slides across the puzzle in search of the letter, several pieces of the puzzle fall out of position. The sound sensor is too sensitive. If you put your hand over one of them, there will be a signal. The sound the puzzle makes when a piece is put in is too quiet and a bit annoying. "A is for apple". If you don't know the letter by sight, it can be difficult to use. For example, not many 2-year-olds know what a liana or a quail is. Violin or Queen would be the best choice. I would also take x-rays. Although the xylophone begins with the letter "x", it begins with the sound "z". This can be confusing for children who are only learning the sounds of their letters. I got this puzzle on a lightning sale for about $9. I wouldn't pay more for it.
