. I put these rugs on the edge of the counter and after a few days the big boy stopped climbing up there. The spikes are semi-flexible so the cats don't get hurt (other than their pride!), but strong enough that I can put a plate on them when my hands are busy in the kitchen. I then ordered another set of robes and placed a few around the tray to direct it to where he had thrown the rubbish. Went like clockwork!
