Review on 🔧 GE Link Hinge Arm WD14X10009 by David Norwood

Take a photo of the good side of the door assembly with your phone to ensure it fits perfectly during the renovation.

I bought two white "plastic" lever pivots for my GE Profile dishwasher. Wanted to have a spare on hand in case something goes wrong during installation. The part fitted perfectly, but I struggled to get the plastic part onto the cable hook. I was hesitant to press too hard on the new plastic part for fear it would break. The hinge arm on my dishwasher model didn't just snap into place. But I knew it was going to happen because it took a lot of effort to remove the broken piece from the hooked end of the cable. The solution was to bend the cable hook a bit to the side. This allowed the hinge connection to snap easily. Once it was securely in place, I gently bent the end of the cable with the hook back into its original position. Now the door works perfectly! I think there's more pressure and friction on the side of the dishwasher door closer to the sink because that's the side where we put dishes from the sink into the dishwasher and open the door. So I'm going to save my extra part until that side of the door breaks again and remind myself that GE made that part out of plastic.
