For work. I can fill up my water bottles most of the time at my clients' house (some of them don't have a very good faucet and I can't take the bottled water they buy with me) so the back-to-back refills last me a whole night while my shift ends in the morning, a lot practically. I use it without a straw and it doesn't leak at all. I took the straw out right after having my wisdom tooth removed and don't know where to drug it but it works great and I still prefer the strawless. The only way out of not using a straw is to hoist a somewhat heavy, bulky water bottle over your head.
