Perfect for a newborn!
We have this in blue. Actually, we got it for our son in 2009. I agree with other reviewers that the sheet is terrible. I like the suggestion to put a pillowcase on top and use that instead. Now in 2012 we are pregnant again and planning to use this again. I could go the pillowcase route or maybe try to do better. I might as well swap out the foam for something new and something more solid (1.5" vs. 1"). We used it for the first 8 weeks to sleep and stay at Grandma's. We actually put the basket in the crib.
