Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Kootenay Black Yellow Boys' Shoes by Keen Children by Patrick Ordonez

Not as comfortable as Kootenay II

We always buy Keen Kootenay II for our kids as they are easy to put on, very durable, water resistant and WARM. I had good expectations for this purchase but the design has changed. In the regular II version, the Velcro simply attaches to one side and goes through, making it very easy to put on and take off or adjust the tension. In addition, the tongue is made of fabric, so it is softer and does not put pressure on the ankle. The new version is basically the same shape and style, but the velcro now goes through the loop and wraps around. This small change makes customization more difficult. Also, the tongue is made of the same hard material as the shoe, so it digs into your foot when you wear it. The only solution is to loosen the strap, which means you won't be able to fully keep your feet warm as they should be. Another problem is that it gets dirty easily, looked pretty shabby after 1 day of school while the old one lasted 2 winters. . I wish they hadn't changed anything or at least brought back the old design.

  • Universal
