Keen is THE BEST BRAND.

I love these shoes so much! I have bought my son who is 3 years old a new pair every year! However, this pair was too big. I should have ordered a size smaller.

Pros
  • Very good for my daughter with small feet as she has down syndrome and it is difficult to find shoes that fit and look age appropriate.
Cons
  • Possible sizing issues

Not as comfortable as Kootenay II

We always buy Keen Kootenay II for our kids as they are easy to put on, very durable, water resistant and WARM. I had good expectations for this purchase but the design has changed. In the regular II version, the Velcro simply attaches to one side and goes through, making it very easy to put on and take off or adjust the tension. In addition, the tongue is made of fabric, so it is softer and does not put pressure on the ankle. The new version is basically the same shape and style, but the…

Pros
  • Universal
Cons
  • May be difficult to achieve for some buyers

Perfect "fit " for our needs

This was a gift for my son and he loves it. He had worn them several times in the rain and mud and was so excited to tell me that his feet stayed warm and dry the whole time! He even remarked that they were "lighter" than he thought. We've only had them for a few weeks, but so far this is exactly what we've been looking for!

Pros
  • These boots have a padded insole and collar for maximum comfort. The mid-rise design offers support and protection without being too restrictive.
Cons
  • Limited ankle support may not provide security

Easy to put on and take off

So my son is 1 year old and I bought size 5. His feet are probably not that big, he's more like a size 4. They're perfect because he can wear his wool socks with them and they're still easy to put on his feet. They also look very good and are holding up very well as they are the only shoes he wears. As I said, it's 1.

Pros
  • Excellent boots. Holds up well. My kid loves that he can put them on without help.
Cons
  • Possibility of premature wear

not the broad hobbies we expected

not a fad, these shoes are not as wide as their previous models we got every year, i was so disappointed that i had to send them back :( my son has a wide foot, they are not wide

Pros
  • Granddaughter's size was too small to wear so we bought a size up - it would have been great to have a size 1/2 available.
Cons
  • Some children may feel uncomfortable

Too tight! in my rating

So difficult to get along and a pathetic process for our daughter. She doesn't have wide feet and we haven't had any issues with other brands. The price was so good we missed the return window by a couple of weeks.

Pros
  • SECURE FIT: The KEEN Kootenay 3 Mid waterproof hiking shoes offer a secure fit with an adjustable Velcro strap. This ensures the boots stay in place and provide maximum support and protection.
Cons
  • Not suitable for fancy occasions

Great boots! - my new rating

My toddler wears fancy sandals in a size 5 but I decided to up the size and bought a size 6 boot. It fits perfectly. My baby feels comfortable in it. Also good quality. As some people have mentioned, they are quite difficult to put on, but that's no big deal.

Pros
  • Fit snug and definitely need to wear them for a while to break them
Cons
  • May not provide adequate support for intense hikes

Black looks gray, but that's exactly what I wanted.

Great fit. Wears like the perfect combination of sneakers and slippers. The only comment is that the black looks so suede, more gray than black. But I still love them and haven't worn any other shoes since I got them!

Pros
  • My 3 year old grandson's feet are very active, he is always playing outside and I want the best shoes for him.
Cons
  • Not suitable for older or large children

So tight on little feet

I bought a size up for my daughter this summer. Now she wears 10.5-11, previously we had Keens, they were too small but they are so tight you can't wear them. I missed the return window or I would have sent them back. Maybe 11 would fit a 9.5 or a kid with a very narrow foot? Although I don't know any toddlers/toddlers with narrow feet.

Pros
  • Waterproof
Cons
  • Difficulty finding replacement parts or repairs

Keens are by far the best brand name shoes and they are no exception. My kids love all their Keens and refuse to wear any other brand of shoes. This is the shoe my son wears the most.

Pros
  • The KEEN Kootenay 3 Mid waterproof hiking shoes are built to last. With durable construction and quality materials, these boots will stand up to the rigors of regular use.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with wide or narrow feet.

In my assessment too little.

These are fantastic boots, they just fit too tight and small. I ordered a size up from my son's usual size and they were still too small. Very expensive so they don't match.

Pros
  • Too big had to come back.
Cons
  • The Velcro will not stay closed on them even if an adult fastens the shoes. It ends up rubbing my son's heels.

Waaayyy too tight!

My toddler has medium sized feet but they were too tight even though I bought them two sizes larger than his normal size. He doesn't complain about his shoes but as soon as I put them on he screamed at how tight they are on his foot. We were so disappointed!

Pros
  • Kin is a path with babies running like wild animals. So great!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all weather conditions

It's hard to get in. the best in my rating

I bought them in the summer for my son to wear in the fall/winter and we actually became close. The hole is very tight and difficult to put on. Maybe I should have taken two sizes bigger. I don't know, but it's hard for us.

Pros
  • Large
Cons
  • Limited color options

daughter loves her

My daughter doesn't waste time tying her shoelaces or buckles in the winter and is constantly running outside in her sneakers. So I found them and they are great. she loves them

Pros
  • Stylish: The color combination of steel gray and antique pink gives these boots a stylish and trendy look, making them perfect for kids who want to look good in the great outdoors.
Cons
  • Bulky design may not be practical for all activities

Great school shoes, fits me

We live in the mountains and to give you an idea of how much snow we get, my kids had 4 days of snow in November. They have big winter boots for playing in the snow, but they're great if they just want to wear something to go to school or run errands with me. They are totally waterproof so I think they will be great when all the snow starts to melt.

Pros
  • These are great shoes for toddlers. His feet stay warm and dry.
Cons
  • The high price of children's shoes.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

High quality, good length but the instep is too tight.

I really want to love these boots, they are great quality and feel very warm; However, they are very tight on the instep and I have a hard time getting them on my 15 month old son's foot. When the boots are on they fit well but I am really struggling to get them on his foot and he is very unhappy/uncomfortable during the process.

Pros
  • Very comfortable and stylish children's boot, great design and colour, really waterproof for rainy days! The kids are super happy!
Cons
  • May have difficulty breathing causing discomfort and odor

Don't bother getting this updated boot.

I have bought over a dozen Kuten for my 3 year old. This new full leather style has ruined everything. I don't even know their actual size for toddlers (little ones), I've bought them so many times. I've already tried to buy all the sizes she might need in the years of shenanigans to come. (I have two because I thought it hurt and she needed the next size up. Turns out it was an updated design.)

Pros
  • Keane boots are the BEST!
Cons
  • Limited traction can be slippery on certain terrain

Pros
  • GRIP: Solid rubber outsole provides superior traction in muddy environments and on rocky surfaces; Non-marking rubber outsole leaves no marks or marks when walking around the house
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Perfect fit for our needs

This was a gift for my son and he loves it. He had worn them several times in the rain and mud and was happy enough to tell me that his feet stayed warm and dry the whole time! He even remarked that they were "lighter" than he thought. We've only had them a few weeks, but so far they're just like us. Looking for!

Pros
  • Boot opening measures approx 5 inches approx
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

They are not as good as the brown leather version of the same shoes for babies. I have been buying these shoes for my toddlers for many years and love them so much because they are durable shoes that beginners can easily move in especially outdoors. I bought this model because it was $30 cheaper than the brown leather version at the time, and I regret it! The strap makes them very difficult to put on and take off on a baby's foot (14 month old baby walker). They are true to size and are quite…

Pros
  • Shaft height about the same as the ankle from the arch of the foot
Cons
  • old
