Review on 🧴 Bayes Teak Cleaner & Restorer - High Performance Formula - Cleans, Shines, Protects and Revives - Maintains Fine Teak and Restores Neglected Teak - 16 oz, 2 Pack by Joseph Montes

Purchased Teak Cleaner/Repair Spray to clean and restore teak on my boat. Spraying is a good way to cover large areas, but I have covered several small areas with teak and have found that spraying onto fabric and then applying to smaller areas also works well. Part of the teak was very dry and very dirty. I found that simply spraying the cleaner on very dirty and dry areas was not enough, but a little sanding with 100-115 grit sandpaper really helped to restore the wood to very good condition, especially after application of the cleaner/restorer. . The teak was very dry and dirty, it took 3 or 4 applications of cleaner/restorer to bring the shine up to a level that I was happy with. After the boat was on the water and spent 6 days on the water in 90 degree weather the shine held up very well in areas not directly exposed to the water but in areas that were previously very dry and directly exposed Well . Watered daily for 6 days have lost their shine. When I got home I sprayed the dried areas, the shine returned. I feel the cleaner worked well, restoring the shine to the areas that hadn't dried heavily to a new shine. I would have given the product 4 1/2 stars but I decided to go ahead and give it 5 stars because after exposing the original teak, which was extremely dry, over 6 years of ZERO maintenance, I didn't feel that it was a fair representation of what the product was doing for the areas not directly exposed to bird droppings, tree sap and temperatures over 100 degrees in summer, rain and temperatures around 30 degrees in winter for 6 years. I especially recommend this product for TEAK OIL because other types that are not constantly exposed to the extremes mentioned clean really well and keep their shine.
