Review on Shure CVB-B/O Omnidirectional Boundary Condenser Microphone with 12ft Cable - Black by Tim Thomason

This microphone seems to be more expensive than others in this price range. However, I tried using it with a fairly cheap system and while it works well with close-up sounds, with a slightly more distant source it seems to pick up ambient noise more than vocal sources. I really think this could be fixed with a system that allows for more volume control.
