Ceiling Fan Remote Control - Hit or Miss

The developers of this remote control have made significant changes in this version compared to the first generation: the receiver and remote control transmitter no longer accept a unique code chosen by the operator for use. Instead, the remote has a "learn" button that needs to be pressed/held for 3 seconds after applying the 110V power supply. If your board isn't near this fan, you'll need an assistant. Even then, the "learn" function may or may not succeed, and you will spend additional time cycling circuit breakers on, off, and on again to complete the process. If you are lucky and it works on the first try, buy a lottery ticket because you are truly blessed.
