So I sent back my first pair of these shoes and had similar but not exact issues with the second pair I just received. My left foot is 1/2 size bigger than my right. If the boot fits my right foot, it's too tight for my left foot. If my left foot is happy, then my right shoe is a little too big. The first pair I received had a HUGE gap on the back of the LEFT foot. It was at least 1/2 size larger than the number on it, while my smaller right leg was too tight - so much so that it hurt just to put them on. Again, my left foot is 1/2 size larger than my right. This means that the left and right shoe differed by at least a size, if not a size and a half. Returned this pair immediately. The second pair has just arrived, the left one is one size larger and the right one is snug. Since it's leather on the outside (beware, some microfiber plastic crap completely lines the inside of the upper, so the benefit of leather not smelling when your feet are sweating is debatable. I'm not happy with that.) I expect, that right leg stretch when i wear them and you will be fine but i suspect i will need a heel pad or something to prevent my left shoe from coming off while walking in the near future as it has is already a size up and shows no wear but no Somewhere as big as the last left shoe I got there was a huge gap between my back heel and the heel of the boot. I checked all 4 boots I received and they all said they were a size 8.5. I almost always wear women's shoes in a size 8, which is my left foot size and my right foot size is 7.5. Obviously something is wrong with the production sizing if 2 pairs of these shoes have my left one too big and the right one too narrow so be careful. Expect that you will probably have to return a pair to find the right one and maybe then you won't be disappointed and if the first pair works for you then you're in luck. But they are insanely small and don't fit US sizes. A plus. Clarks is losing quality. I used to buy them because they were leather. But lining the entire inside of the shoe with synthetic cheap crap negates the benefits of leather shoes. Lesson learned: Naturalizer still makes 100% leather uppers that I can add a leather insole to and have 100% leather on the inside. Shame on Clarks. It has been a quality shoe for decades - nothing more.
