have 2 porters; one for my cycling glasses and one for my work glasses. I really like how they slide over the "arms" of the glasses. They stay in place and come off easily when I decide to remove them from my glasses. The design is very functional. Most of the straps I tried were too long and let the goggles hang too low. Unfortunately, they are indeed too short even when extended to their longest point. I'm trying to get used to it. Also, I'm not a fan of wire gliding; I find it uncomfortable on the neck. I think it's an individual thing and they may not really be suitable for what I'm using them for. I use them every day and they are fine for me.
