The barrier is 6 inches wide and 5 feet long, expanding to 3.5 inches in height when activated. It will NOT increase to 6 inches once activated! Amazing product that works for draining water (see overview video), although I wouldn't recommend using it if you have torrential flooding (water flowing at a constant speed of more than 10km/h). The barrier is water activated and can be placed in the desired location either dry (wait for water to flood to activate the product) or wet (personally activated by immersion in water for 5 minutes, the method I used). will. Use these to prevent water from entering the outdoor bath. The video assessment shows approximately how much water actually flows through that particular area and does a very good job of preventing it from getting under the bathroom door. The product is 5 feet long, although it felt a bit long for me so I tried to experiment. I measured the length I needed and decided to put ONLY THE MEASURED part in a bucket full of water and leave the rest on top of the bucket to keep it dry. The end result can be seen in one of the photos provided (with the crumpled part) and works GREAT! The dry end never comes into contact with water so it stays in that horizontal position and has remained so a month later at the time of writing this review. The product is also reusable (allow a GREAT time to dry) and biodegradable, allowing for easy cleanup. In summary, I highly recommend this product and will buy more if anything happens to it.
