Design flaws but easy to change and fix

I use my iPad in the harshest environments so I need a good case. This case is pretty good but there is a bug for me and here is how I fixed mine. I was watching a tutorial video as I was moving outside of my shop as I waved my hand over the iPad to view the video the case was unrolled and I held the flexible packaging sleeve while the real iPad was in the heavy Outer shell from the detached packaging. The iPad then fell face down on a rocky gravel path, smashing my screen protector. It also scratched the screen a bit but could easily have damaged the screen. Here's the thing: when you hold the iPad by the flex case's flap, it will rotate itself into a facedown position, and when that happens, don't rely on those 2 plastic latches to hold the weight of the iPad in the UAG hardened plastic case before breaking loose. UAG needs a better locking mechanism (than flimsy plastic latches) for the 2 body parts. Now you can glue them together, but here's what I did. I used a small 3/32" drill bit to drill a series of holes around the plastic latches on the case and I sewed the two pieces together with a large needle and upholstery thread as I didn't see any advantage in the two pieces . scatter (See photos)2. Also, I don't use an iPencil, so I stuck and sewed a 1/4 inch tube into the pen holder with paracord, which also gave me an extra secure hold on the case with the iPad inside. It's far better to carry an iPad around knowing the case won't fall apart on me.
