Klein Tools 69417 Rare-Earth Magnetic Hanger with Strap: Secure and Versatile Storage Solution Review

If I could buy this again I would buy another magnet that is loose instead. The only reason is that this magnet doesn't have room to play with on the surfaces I usually work with. especially when you're working on things like plumbing and the like. However, it is a reliable candidate when working with hard surfaces.

Easy to apply and use, strong magnet, allows meter reading when working with HVAC equipment, however I deducted a star for the poor quality velcro and hook system when opening the packaging and connection of the plug. I hung my counter on the cooker hood and it immediately fell off the velcro straps. I fixed this problem by putting a zip tie around where they attach to the belt (photo).

After choosing the paw hanger over the small magnet, I preferred the paw because of the way it was attached. The little hooks at the bottom and you might think this is the best way to go, but it's not snug and doesn't fit very well and when not in use it comes off badly. Every time I have to use it I have to reattach the hanger and the stock attaches in the opposite direction and I haven't had a single fall yet. The magnet isn't that strong either. For some reason there is a velcro on the strap which is causing the strap to fail. There's no need to remove the magnet, so not only is the Velcro useless, but the strap doesn't work either. The rare earth magnet is very strong but the velcro on the strap was dead on arrival and I had to hand sew it on. When I bought the mini multimeter I wondered what that weird bulge on the back was for. Then I found this hanging strap and bought it. It attaches to a fun bump. The riddle is solved.
