I have had an Epson 780 for a few years. I bought it when it first came out and it was supposed to be a printing press marvel. However, it was a little disappointing. I've used it to print photos with sketchy results at best. It was a regular printer for the occasional card or text print, but no more. To be honest I was just as happy with the CANON printer that I got from Gateway for free as I was when I bought my computer there. Epson 780 consumes too much. Inks and their inks were/still too expensive for regular printing at that time. Now I use inexpensive universal ink. It's noisy, slow, and I have to hold the paper to make sure it aligns properly, although I can't find the cause. I'm also annoyed that, in contrast to the simple CANON, it doesn't have an automatic switchover. So if you forget to turn it off, or just don't want it because it takes forever to noisily reset, it just stays on. I was disappointed that EPSON released this inferior device. I've heard they're great cars and maybe some of them are too. But these.
