The oil pressure sensor in my F-150 is unstable and no sensor at all; This is a pressure/low pressure gauge disguised as a pressure gauge. Instead of repairing or replacing the dashboard - probably an expensive operation - I decided to fit an oil pressure switch. There will be much more information than the so-called pressure gauge in the dashboard. I didn't want to install a traditional mechanical gauge in the cab that requires a hose and came across this electronic one. I bought a GlowShift adapter and a sensor that goes under the oil filter to power this gauge. At 75, I rarely work under a truck anymore, so a local mechanic installed a sensor and routed a wire in the cab. I did the wiring and installation in the cockpit. For now it's just what I need and looks good.
