Review on πŸ’† TOLOCO Massage Gun - Enhanced Percussion Muscle Massage Gun for Athletes, Handheld Deep Tissue Massager Gun (Black) by Crystal Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good percussion massager for the price.

I work year round. I sometimes find it difficult to relax the muscles in my upper and lower body, particularly the iliotibial band. My brother let me use his theragun a few years ago. I really liked it but didn't want to pay a high price to get my own. I continue to use my trusty foam roller and vibrator. Rolling out these areas got me thinking about the percussion massage gun again. I started researching massage guns. I've made comparisons to Theragun, knowing that. I have noticed some positive changes. Various attachments have increased. The most important thing for me is that the decibel level has improved. That was the only thing I didn't like about Theragun. It was very loud. I've analyzed impact weapons in a number of ways. I chose Toloco for the following reasons: 1- Noise level 2- Amplitude 3- Battery life 4- Weight 5- Price 6- Heat dissipation 7- Good carrying case I've been using the Toloco for less than a week. I've had some decent runs and three different workouts. I use the gun both before and after my run and also for post workout muscle therapy. I get better results with a massage gun than with a foam roller and muscle stick. The pistol facilitates massaging the inner surface of the thigh and the iliaca-tibialis region. The noise level is better than expected. I can fire a gun while watching a movie without disturbing my wife. The amplitude indicated in 12 mm suited me. This is slightly smaller than Theragun - 16mm. The penetration was sufficient for my needs. Battery life is good. It seems to deplete faster than intended. The charging time is short. The weight of the pistol is fantastic. I didn't feel tired while using the massage gun. My wife used it on me too. She didn't mention weight. Heat dissipation is ok. I have found that most of the heat is generated right around the neck of the gun where the nozzles are inserted. It's getting hot as hell. It doesn't seem to be a problem. The tote bag is better than expected. There's room for everything, plus an extra battery if you want. Although the compartment that houses the Y head is a bit small. I suspect its size has increased for some reason. Overall this is a great massage gun for the money. I am very happy with it. I give it four stars for two reasons: 1- Battery life. I think replacing the lithium ion battery with a nickel metal hydride battery might help improve the overall weapon. 2- The gun shuts off after about 10 minutes of continuous use. You can turn it back on immediately. I'm not sure why this timeout exists. Could this be a security feature? Admittedly, I only had one blackout. Since the machine can run longer, it would be nice to let it run as long as I want.

Pros
  • Electric massagers
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required
