The best pillow for a tight neck

A few years ago I was diagnosed with a tight neck - a narrowing of the nerve canal in the spine. I've slept on my back my entire life and suddenly found that I needed to sleep on my side to avoid the debilitating pain in my neck. I've been looking for a pillow ever since. Because of this condition, I cannot sleep all night. I have to wake up, turn around, move the pillow, sometimes change pillows as I feel like I need a very thin pillow on my right side and a thicker pillow on my left. I have been using the face pillow on the massage table for 2 years to sleep on my right side. I have to sleep with towels folded differently on my left side. So I often wander at night, moving from side to side. I ordered this pillow and another on a whim. I had little hope that there was a solution to my problem. The Pure Comfort pillow looked weird so I tried another one first but didn't find any relief. After about 2 weeks I decided to try Pure Comfort. The first night was better than anything I've had in the past, but it just kept getting better. I have the soft version. The two extra height adjustment discs are not needed on my mattress at home, but I use them on my RV because the mattress is different. The holes in the ears are much larger than shown in the photos. For the past 6 months I have had ear pain, first left then right. Since I've been using Pure Comfort, the pain in my ears has disappeared. I liked this pillow so much that I recommended it to a friend who also has neck stenosis. When I saw him again I asked about the pillow and he beamed and said it works great and he loves it. He bought the intermediate version as he is younger and in better shape than me.
