Review on πŸ” Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9 - 5th Gen, US English, Black by Liz Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Too expensive? It would anyway. quality product? Oh yeah.

Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 5th Gen may appeal to many. It's a solid, well-built product that's probably half the price, but I'm pretty sure anyone who buys it will know what's going on. Keyboard: The keyboard is pretty great in every way. I use my M1 MacBook Pro every day, and while the typing isn't exactly identical, it's not far off. The key drop is really great and the space/size is perfect. Ah, I wish it had a row of function keys. Trackpad: The trackpad is good enough. It is very responsive, both when hovering the cursor and when tapping on apps and tasks. I wish more apps would use the Magic Keyboard's gestures and features, but I can't fault the product for that. After all, it's not MacOS. Quality: I really like the quality of this keyboard. It's slightly thicker than the previous-gen keyboard to accommodate the slightly thicker 5th-gen iPad Pro. When the iPad is connected it feels solid and I think it reclines a bit more than the previous generation, which is nice. Overall I like this product very much. If you think that plugging this overpriced keyboard into the iPad Pro M1 will replace your laptop, you probably don't, unless you just surf the web or use Revain to shop. iPadOS is still the limiting factor that allows iPad to be the ultimate laptop alternative. The Magic Keyboard does have its perks, though, and if the price doesn't put you off, I'd definitely recommend it.
