Looking at the photos on the product page I thought the hooks looked like they were made out of silicone or something, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they appear to be made out of hard plastic covered with a velvety material is plated, the accessories will not be scratched. i will be honest I have it all to myself. lol I have a lot of hair ties, all kinds of rubber bands and hair ties. My elastics fit perfectly in strips designed for bobby pins and bows. Both my spiral ties and normal pony ties fit well on hooks. My headbands also hang slightly from the hair bow. Very convenient.
