I've been using these for a while now. These are certainly not cheap garbage bags, but I think they are worth every penny. More or less, these bags effectively do what they were designed to do. The design goal is that they are able to: - retain a very strong bag that can flex a lot, reduce tears/punctures and carry a lot of weight without breaking - use a simple construction with a drawstring for access, and - Reduce dirty odor by using odor neutralization methods. They do a great job with all of the above. I live alone so I don't have a lot of junk. I used to take out the trash because of the smell rather than because it's full. Since using Glads OdorShield, I've been able to "give my money back" by reducing the frequency of trash disposal (which is quite a pain in an apartment!) and reducing the amount of trash I throw out. (fewer bags going to landfill which also saves money) and retains a much nicer scent than usual. need a forklift to move it, they still do a good job of picking up trash in a trash bag (and off the floor of your living room or front yard) to store. Since they work so well, the slightly higher price doesn't bother me and I've been using them for a long time and plan to use them in the future. I think if you try them you will be very happy with them.
