Had this for about 2 years, worked until it tore. I used it about once a week during those two years to keep the phone dry while I rode my bike. During those two years it worked great. The plastic is not re-enforced as you can see.

First things first YES it is waterproof and kept the phone safe for about 8-10 ft. I took this on vacation cave diving and in the ocean snorkeling. Not one drop of water got inside the pouch. I ordered 2 of these because my son has one and I saw that it worked when we went to a water park. We used these on a Jamaica trip and I was able to go into the waters without worrying about my phone. Please note that prior to the trip I did make sure ours were sealing correctly by doing the water test on both.
