I was watching some videos about the TIDRADIO wireless programmer and got curious so I ordered it. I was positively surprised. It connected quickly to the Odmaster app and when you load the radio settings into the app it's faster than on a computer. I immediately realized how useful this can be when camping, off road, etc. It makes it easy to clone or program radios when you're in a situation where connecting to a computer isn't practical or even possible. It's true that radios like the Baofeng UV-5R can be programmed using the keyboard, but it can be tedious at times. In addition, some older radios have firmware bugs that allow you to change some settings, but those settings will be reset the next time you turn on the radio. With the wireless TIDRADIO option, the settings are saved. The number of radio stations supported by Odmaster is growing, but not every radio. The most popular models and even some obscure models are supported either fully or in beta. some settings, but you can do a lot with the software. Once you have set up your Odmaster account, you can also access your frequency lists via a web browser if you wish. You can save different configurations on your phone and in the Odmaster portal. I liked it. For the price I think this is a very good programming option. This isn't necessarily the best or easiest option for all circumstances, but it's an excellent option in certain situations. They update the software regularly and the number of supported radios keeps growing. I highly recommend this, especially if you are in a situation where you want to quickly reconfigure a radio in an environment where traditional cloning is difficult if not impossible. For example, if you need different repeaters in different remote locations and your radio does not support custom channels, you can create multiple configurations and simply load them into the radio as needed. No internet, phone or computer required. Just your phone, the Odmaster app and the TIDRADIO programmer. Be sure to charge the TIDRADIO Bluetooth Programmer before driving. It is not powered by an auxiliary port. Has its own battery. They include a cable but you must use your own charger. Even if you don't need it every day, it's handy to have in situations when you need it in a specific situation or place. I've used it many times since I bought it and it's never failed or failed. That works great. Be careful when plugging it into the accessory port as it's crooked and I could see where pushing too hard on one side could cause a problem. Just snap it right over the pins. Also make sure it is fully inserted. Sometimes it seems that it is inserted, but it can penetrate a little further. Great device. 5 Stars.
