Don't ignore the reviews

I ignored the reviews and now I'm just glad I didn't buy more than I did. I have a set of screens in front of my house that I bungee protect when they roll. I can't remember where I bought them but I already had a few when I bought them but from experience the old ones don't last long under summer UV rays. They looked sturdy to begin with, but since I'd already removed the screens for the summer, I just left these new ones hanging on the canopy pole for next year. I don't think I've used them half a dozen times and they've just been hanging outside ever since. So why are the cords starting to break already? And I very much doubt that they will last until summer. I can wrap duct tape around them to keep them from fraying, but I'm afraid the plastic hooks won't stand up to the sun next year. What looks well designed and built turns out to be junk. UPDATE: I've decided to change my rating to 1 star. The outer part of the bungee had completely fallen apart and that was because we were outside and it was a little bit in the summer. It crumbles and then makes a mess because when you try to remove it, it turns into a cloud of dust and spreads all over your clothes. I had to use a feather duster to clean myself before returning to the house. I think I've seen cheap burlap in foul weather, but I've never seen cord so stretchy.

Pros
  • Bungee cords
Cons
  • I won't say anything
